Help Needed!

We are embarking on an imaginative and wild new science challenge based on the artwork of Rube Goldberg. For years, Purdue University has asked students to complicate a simple task by using a variety of steps---they call it the Rube Goldberg Science Challenge. This year we are asking our future Purdue students to do the same. They will use the knowledge they have gained in our simple machines unit to complete a simple task, using at least ten to twenty steps and two to three simple machines.

One way that you can join us in this journey is by collecting some of the materials that are needed for the challenge. Please bring in any of the following items by THURSDAY, JANUARY 29:

toilet paper rolls
paper towel rolls
dixie cups
pipe cleaners
ping-pong balls
rubber bands
3by5 index cards
