All About Salmon

Alongside our little buddies from Mrs. Hanes and Ms. Reed's class, we have been working hard this week on becoming experts on the salmon life cycle. In groups and given one stage of the life cycle, we have researched and written our findings for all to enjoy and learn from. As a celebration and presentation of all we've learned, we're having a Salmon Life Cycle Fair on Tuesday afternoon, October 3rd.

And you can help!

What's a celebration without food you ask? Precisely our question. In keeping with the spirit of the harvesting of food and how the salmon is important to ancient and current people of the area, we are having a harvest snack.

Please send any of the following if you choose to contribute:

  • Package of Beef Jerky
  • Fresh or Frozen Berries
  • Edible Roots
I'm also looking for a few parents willing to come in from 1:20 to the end of the day to prepare our feast and enjoy our celebration with us.

Please email me if interested or available.

I am truly enjoying your students and look forward to next week's celebration!
