Vincent VanGogh

To practice skills of observation, Mrs. Chiu's detectives paid close attention to the sunflowers placed on their tables the first week of school. The detectives recreated art inspired by Vincent VanGogh's Vase with Twelve Sunflowers and completed a detailed paragraph description of the sunflowers. Exposing small details, filling the space, applying thick paint to create texture and mixing vibrant colors were the skills used by all of the students. Please view the beautiful paintings in the hall on the way to our classroom.
