Thank You!

Thank you to Mally's mom for working on the bulletin boards outside of our classroom. These bulletin boards are creating excitement for our newest project, a Genre Study on Graphic Novels. We're reading several Graphic Novels and will be writing a Graphic novel having to do with how the Columbia Gorge was formed. We are so fortunate to have the authors of the Graphic Novel, Terra Tempo,  join us on January 26th. The students will participate in a workshop to learn more about creating a Graphic Novel.

Thank you to Aidan's mom who created a bulletin board for student work to be featured near the front office. Check in there periodically to see snip-its of Columbia Gorge work from the grade school students. Thank you, also, for embellishing the great library window to welcome the author's of Terra Tempo and create a buzz in our school about the workshop next week.

We enjoyed reading Terra Tempo and discussing it in book groups. We also had a blast sharing the books with our buddy class!

Here are some great pictures from our Rube Goldberg project. We've been loving the Simple Machines unit!

Thank you to Aven's mom for taking great pictures of our Scientists for our Science Notebooks. These fun pictures will add a great flare to our collection of work! :)

I would also like to give a shout-out to Kelsey's mom and Aidan's mom for being point parents for our school-wide Columbia Gorge mural project. And to Jackson's mom and Ethan's mom for helping with classroom projects! Thanks, everyone!
